ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Ideal Manufacturing pro-actively strives to offer products with the highest efficacy, but the lowest impact on the environment. We maintain a considerate and careful environmental approach to all product development, manufacture and supply, through recycling, reduced energy consumption, alternative packaging solutions and the chemicals we use. Ideal’s commitment to protect the environment remains uppermost in our product and service development.

• Ideal ensures that all surfactants used are carefully sourced to comply with OECD tests for biodegradability.

• Ideal continuously reviews and revises formulations to prohibit the use of any surfactants that might be considered dangerous to the environment or marine life.

• Ideal ensures that all safety data sheets contain information relating to the environmental details of the product.

• Ideal replaces standard packaging options with bulk systems, wherever possible. In addition, we use state of the art dosing technology, with regular calibrating to avoid overuse of detergent or other resources.

• Ideal is able to advise customers on how best to utilise chemicals with the minimum of resources.

• Ideal has made it company policy to only buy in recycled/reconditioned pallets, helping to avoid the need to harvest woodland areas.

• Ideal seeks to use reconditioned plastic drums from an approved supplier, wherever possible.

• Ideal arranges for large drums and containers to be collected monthly and recycled by an accredited waste company.

• Ideal is currently reviewing the requirements of ISO 14001 with a view to future accreditation.
