We've decided to set up a forum for customers to ask questions or share any information about any laundry problems they might come across. We'll do our best to come up with the Ideal solution...
We had a problem recently with a stock of white towels that were tinged yellow by chlorine bleach and perhaps a little iron/rust in the laundry water.
The application of a small dose of IDEAL HYDROS (3g / kilo of towels) in the main 60 degree wash, followed by a change from Chlorine to Peroxide bleaching, has cured the problem and the towels are back to a brilliant whiteness.
White towels can also take on a yellow hue if you crank up the temperature in your gas tumble driers to speed up drying times. At temperatures above 150 degrees c. It is easy to over-dry and therefore scorch the fibres, especially if the gas flame is burning yellow rather than blue due to poor adjustment.
